YMCA Youth Greeter

Palo Alto Family YMCA

Responsibilities as a Greeter: • Welcome Visitors: You’ll be the first face many people see when they enter the YMCA. Greet them warmly and with a smile. • Answer Questions: Provide basic information about YMCA services, memberships, and schedules. • Direct People: Help members navigate the facilities by directing them to the right areas, such as the gym, pool, or classrooms. • Help With Membership Check-in: Some greeters might assist in checking in members using a card scanner or sign-in sheet. • Towels: Assist in towel rounds- pick up, washing and folding. • Promote YMCA Programs: Encourage newcomers to learn about different programs the YMCA offers, such as fitness classes, after-school activities, and community events. • Create a Positive Atmosphere: Make sure the environment is friendly and welcoming, as first impressions can make a big difference!
